March: The Thaw Inspection
The most informative fifteen minutes of the year on a Rockford door.
Everything the winter did is visible now and not later. Look at both cables at the bottom fitting for salt corrosion. Look at the inside face of the bottom section, not the outside, because that is where brine sits. Check whether the door is seating differently than it did in autumn, which tells you the apron moved. Rinse the salt residue off the track and the lower hardware before it sits through a humid summer.
