Once the trucks start running, your car brings brine into the garage every day. It drips off the underbody and the tyres onto the slab, pools at the lowest point, and sits against the bottom of the track, the lower rollers and the cable terminations. Rinsing the garage floor during a thaw sounds fussy and is genuinely the cheapest maintenance available here. If you do nothing else, keep the area right at the bottom of each track clear.
